I’ve got one from the ground that I’ll post later – what I want to know is the technology used that makes one side of the blimp (opposite to the photo above) into a display screen. Very clever.

According to today’s Motorsport News, the display is made up from 370,000 LEDs, and is 21m x 9m in size.

Hi Neil & Richard,
I operate the Holden Airship and your site popped up on my Google Alert. We just left Camden today for Melbourne but will be back at the start of October for the Rugby Final, Bathurst, etc. Anyways, give me a call if you want an up close look at the beast (0425 762508) and if you’re keen to swap a glider ride for a blimp ride I’ll see what I can arrange.
